What is success?
We are working with Ms. Sieto of Dartmouth Middle School to integrate philosophy into history curriculums, particularly comparing Western and Eastern conceptions of morality and success. After a 30-minute lesson with interactive activities, students create their own report cards reflecting on how societies define success.

Also, with Ms.Sieto’s classes, we interrogated the nature of rights throughout history, from the Magna Carta to Enlightenment philosophies to the present day. Students learn different types of rights, theories surrounding the goals of rights, and how to defend the bounds of their own rights as students.
